“In the past I often played my accordeon to the grape pickers
working in the vineyards, and my feeling was that the harmony of music created
a magic atmosphere around the grapes and the must. I decided to bring to life
the musical project connected with the vineyards and the wine that had been
dwelling in my mind for some time. I filled the cellars with the sound of
music, then extended the experiment to the vineyards that produce Brunello
wine. The effect coming from the music spreading through the vines is highly
evocative. Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Scarlatti are the favourite composers of the
foliage season of the vine, and the symphonic composers such as Beethoven and
Mahler are notes that prevail in the rows of vines during ripening, to scare
off the grape predators. This original experiment has recently aroused the
interest of the researchers of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of
Florence. Together we are studying in vitro as well as in the fields the
possible effects that sound frequencies generate on the plant of the vine both
in the rooting system, in the foliage and in the flower. Special attention is
given to the pathology of the parasites and the fungi. It may be sometime
before positive conclusions can be reached, and in the meantime I enjoy the
pleasure that comes from giving music to wine, which is undoubtedly a wonderful
way to produce poetry and to carry out research”

The excellence of this wine is the result of the extreme
accurate selection of the best grapes produced in the estate. The special
elegance of its flavour is due to the very favourable location of the
vineyards, grown north of Montalcino. Here the strength of the plants and the
heat of the summer are kept under control and this produces the special
delicate finesse of its taste.

Our wines:
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO D.O.C.G. The excellence
of this wine is the result of the extreme accurate selection of the best grapes
produced in the estate. The special elegance of its flavour is due to the very
favourable location of the vineyards, grown north of Montalcino. Here the
strength of the plants and the heat of the summer are kept under control and
this produces the special delicate finesse of its taste.
DO Rosso Toscano I.G.T. This wine expresses the
complex relationship between twelve grapes that come from various roots and
traditions. The perceptions and emotions given by this wine can be compared to
a symphony in continuous progress. As a consequence, the result of each harvest
is a unique product originated by an “ensemble” of grapes that are always
different and that are chosen for excellence of their ripening.
“DO”12 UVE’s character makes this wine to
accompany dishes of the farming tradition as well as game, roasts, red meats
and seasoned cheeses. GEA Rosso S. Antimo D.O.C. This wine takes its name from
the Goddess of the Earth and from my youngest daughter. It wants to express the
truethfulness and the purity of the Sangiovese that grows in the rows of
Frassina, located at the foot of the town of Montalcino. It is allowed to age
in glass for over a year. Its freshness and joyfulness makes it the ideal wine
to accompany any food preparation, especially first courses, cheeses and
salami.
