Cooking class in Tuscany

 

“God made the food, The devil the cooks” James Joyce Bread, in one form or another, has been one of the principal forms of food for man from earliest times.

 

 It could be said that civilization began when ancient man discovered a food which would keep through the winter months, and could be re-created again in the summer.

 

Viola or Francesca will show you how to prepare a variety of loaves and delicious flat breads with rosemary and other natural ingredients.

 

 Learn about the wonderful world of bread and how to make desserts from crusts and leftover bread according to the local peasant tradition;enjoy ourselves as you eat,laugh and sip good wine.

  • 09.00 a.m. - Departure from Florence ( Piazza Poggi)
  • 10.00 a.m. - Arrival at Viola farmhouse
  • 10.30 a.m. – 2 hours bread class in the Viola laboratory
  • 12.30 a.m. - Lunch
  • 02.30 p.m. – Departure for Florence
  • 03.30 p.m. - Visit to the village of Monterrigioni
  • 05.30 p.m. Arrival at Florence( Piazza Poggi )
