This Romanesque town became famous during the fights between the Guelfis and the Ghibellinis, two political groups in Renaissance Florence. Here lives my great friend, Pierre who is French by birth and Tuscan by adoption.

His love of nature and plants encouraged him to explore his passion for spices in this region. The rhythms of the moon, the seasons and his knowledge of the secrets of each plant culminate in unique blends and fragrances.

You will be able to appreciate this talent by tasting a selection of cheeses with his specially prepared blends of herbs and spices. Once you have experienced Pierre’s unique combinations of local cheeses, herbs and spices you will recall the pleasures of Tuscany wherever you are.

02.00 p.m. - Departure from Florence Piazza Poggi
02.30 p.m. - Arrival at Volognano and visit to the farm of Pierre
03.00 p.m. - Walking through the spice and aromas garden
04.00 p.m. – Visit to the Ancient dry room
04.30 p.m. – Spice tasting with some local cheese and a cup of glass of wine
05.30 p.m. - We'll go back to Florence passing through the Pontassieve valley
06.15 p.m. Arrival at Florence Piazza poggi
